Bring Back Pretty

Every now and then,
when the world sits just right,
a gentle breath of heaven
fills my soul with delight...
~ Hazelmarie Elliott ~

It’s been quite a while since my last blog sweet friends, however I hope to bring you a bit of spring with my new color palette of dark pink, purple and peach. I must have spring fever as in the last few years, color has been anything but prominent in my home. So, I’m bringing back pretty-- the pinks and pretty tones make my heart sing.....

I bought this old pink chair about 12 years ago for $2.00. Yes, you read it right... What a steal!

Petals for romance...

I added a new chandelier to my studio-- half of the room now serves as a dining area.

Are you a Downton Abbey fan? Well get ready for a Fancy Afternoon Tea, Downton style in my monthly column "Say Ah", of the June issue. Just look at that fabulous bouquet! GORG!

Coming Summer of 2013, The Feminine Home, Vintage!

As usual Jo, everything is just fabulous! I love that you are staying true to your style even after all of these years. Some of your "rosey" decor may have left your home, but you still have the absolute magic touch that everyone instantly recognizes as pure magic and pure you! Love you! xoxo

What a lovely romantic post !! First of all, YOU look stunning ... love the soft, romantic outfit !! PERFECT !! And, I especially LOVE the fact, you stay true to what you LOVE, and everything rosey, PINK, and the WHITES !! Just PERFECT !! Everything you touch, turns to ROMANCE ... the PERFECT mix .. NOT ALL white !!! The purples and darker PINKS add just the right touch !!

Oh thank goodness!!!!!! While I understand how most women love white and the simplicity of it - I have SOOOOO missed the pretty pinks, peaches and purples of original Shabby Chic. I'm thrilled with your new palette! Hooray!

Wow, you never disappoint, even if you've been away for some time. Your pictures are just pieces of HEAVEN. Its so easy to get lost in your pictures and DREAM.... Your studio looks absolutely amazing! I know I told you before but I LOVE your white wooden floors! What a difference it makes on a sunny day and in contrast to all your pretties, antiques, and flowers! I keep trying to convince my husband to paint our hardwoods but he's not budging on that one.... If you ever get the chance, I would LOVE for you to stop in and visit my blog someday. I have a cozy, little home in upstate New York and come springtime my gardens will be an abundant profusion of various kinds of David Austin Roses! Hope you have a lovely week!

Beautiful flowers Jo-Anne. Your studio looks amazing. I don't blame you for craving color - spring comes alive with it.
I'm a devoted subscriber to RH, and can't wait to see your Downton tea article. Your features never disappoint. Intrigued by the new Feminine Home book, too.
Exciting things happening!
