Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Wishing you all a very happy Valentine's day!!!!

Meet beautiful Annie, one of my Marie A. models.  Isn't she lovely...
Portraiture has given me a new perspective on photography. I simply can't get enough knowledge about it. I'm in over-drive! It's a whole new animal from interiors.  All the camera gear like lens were replaced for creating beautiful, creamy skin tones as well as understanding natural light. One myth is having your back to the sun for the best shot. Actully, shooting into the sun allows for beautiful backlighting on your subjects. A light meter is key here for this so not to blow out your subject.

I love overlays and textures. Here, I added a texture to this photo to give it an old gypsy coloring. I love the rich tones it gave...
I will add more photos and tips soon...

Happy Valentine's day!

Happy Valentines Day Jo-Anne,

Yes, your subject is quite lovely! I too love taking pictures as well. I especially enjoy taking pictures of my beautiful daughter's. I am also a hairdesigner and love getting them all dolled up before I take pics of them in my backyard under the willow tree. Can't wait to see the Marie Antoinette pics! Also, hope you are on the mend.

Hello Jo-Anne,

I have a new idea in my head and the question is if you like it too...! Once a week I would like to promote a blog or a person - whose work and photography I admire - to make a post on my blog with a little story and photo's. But.... you must also tell something about me and my photo's in a post on your blog. A sort of rechanging blogs to generate more followers in differtent countries! I hope to hear from you if you like the idea.
