Ahh, The smell of sweet Roses! June’s proudest moment!
I have been photographing my beautiful garden of roses
all week and the view from my studio window is spectacular!
I made my way to Roseland as well, located in New Bedford
Ma. It’s everything they said it is and much more, a must see
if you are in the area. I could hardly contain myself from filling
my car with every pink and lavender color rose they had; the
selection was incredible! So, I narrowed it down to 5.
Here, I have a few showcased in
this fabulously old toolbox which includes- Eden Climber,
a soft pink color, Enchanted Evening, a lavender shade
and my favorite of all,
Blue Girl, a pretty medium size lavender rose.
Until next Time, always remember to enjoy the view!

Oooh Jo~Anne, those are all so gorgeous... my favorite is Eden... I am going to plant one for sure... your photos are stunning, and I can smell the fragrant perfume right now... xoxo Julie Marie
Hi Brenda!
Growing roses is a challenge and takes alot of time. Just like me, they love to eat, so I feed mine once a week by hand, meaning I add bloom feed by miracle grow in a water can and give them 1-2 gallons of water weekly. They prefer long deep watering rather then shallow drinks. Also cover the base with mulch when the season is over, that will protect them from winter. I have an article in my new magazine on caring for roses- alot of good tips. Good luck doll!

Your roses are beautiful! Now that I'm living in the woods I can't grow roses any more, but you've inspired me to dig out some photos of last year's garden and do a post - I had Eden as well, grown as a climber and David Austin roses - Fair Bianca, A Shropshire Lad, Prospero, Wm Shakespeare . . . there is truly nothing like a rose. Thank you, Love Linda
P.S. I linked back to your blog on my post "Roses from the Past" Love, Linda

Love that lavender coloured rose. I must look for something similar in sweden that can thrive in the hard climate. Your tablesetting is stunning. Wishing you a pleasant weekend. /Therese

Glorious Day, Jo-Anne!
What a thrilling post! Thank you for sharing about Roseland - I checked out their website and it looks like a Disneyland for rose lovers! I am not near there but the site is very helpful and informative no matter where you are, especially in identifying roses and preparing a 'Wish List': roselandroses.com
I must tell you that I am thrilled with my copy of "The Feminine Home" and lost myself for many hours in its luscious pages. I keep returning to it...It sits on my coffee table and I share it with everyone who comes by. I am eagerly awaiting the next issue, which I hope won't be too far off!
