With glitter and trinkets scattered all over the house, my holiday decorating has official begun. My style now, and for Christmas is ever changing and I find myself slipping more and more away from all the fufu pink and over the top decorating. My motto, Less is soo much more. I have always preferred a muted palette and although that still remains, the girly pink has been replaced with sophiscated greys, pure whites, creams and browns. As you can see this is a much simplier look embracing architectural elements, mecury glass, cut glass glitter boxes and silver sleighs. Simply yet elegant.

Cut glass glitter box with satin ribbon makes for a delightful gift all on its own..

White flowers all aglow in a mecury vase..

Love this cutie but I need to keep it up high..My little Jessy thinks this furry sleigh is a relative...
Photo's of my tree are coming very soon sweet friends..
In the meantime, I would love to hear how you decorate your home for the holidays!
Love & Friendship,
Jo-Anne

While I too love the softness of pink, I have a growing passion for the JdA style. Simple, classic, elegant. But...I hope your change in decor doesn't mean you will stop painting your lovely rose creations! A touch of pink in an all white room is still so soothing. Looking forward to seeing your tree!

Hello sweet Jo~Anne, everything looks stunning! The silvers look so soft and enchanting, I love them... that is so cute little Jessy thinks the sleigh is a furry relative, I love you Jessy! I can't wait to see more of your beautiful Christmas decorations... rather than describe how I decorate, take a peek at my last posts if you would like, my whole house is decorated for the holidays, in many different ways... woodland trees, vintage tree (WWII ornaments and some Pre~WWII)... and I still love the traditional reds and greens of Christmas... and of course I have Nature everywhere... love to you... kisses Jessy... xoxo Julie Marie

My Dear Friend Rose, I enjoy your blog so much. I guess Christmas has gotten away and I won't be getting my cottage house for christmas. I can't find anyone with a high definition camera. I've taken pictures with my digital camera and I will send them to you after Christmas. Then whenever you can do it will be fine.

Is that the German glitter on your box and slied? I've got to find some.

love and respect
