to scroll thru my garden is in the early morning hours when the world is still quiet; not even the bees are awake yet. I am at my happiest when I'm amongst nature, it gives me a sense of calm and serenity. If only every minute of the day could be this peaceful...

As women and caretakers, we sometimes forget to recharge our spirits and savor a quiet time for ourselves. It helps us to be better mothers, wifes and friends if only to sit and take a few moments out of our busy day to nurture our inner being..Be good to yourselves today my sweet friends and wishing you find comfort in your sweet spot...

I hope you will enjoy my flower garden as much as I do...
My husband Mark has found his sweet spot and nurtures and furfills his love of gardening... What is your sweet spot?

Is it a bird or an insect???

Mark and I have been observing an unusually visitor in our flower garden. It looked like a hummingbird and hovered like one but had antennas and characterists of an insect... It must be a baby hummingbird, so I thought.. Wrong- Mystery solved after goggling everything and anything under the sun -It's called a Hummingbird Clearwing Moth.. Beautiful isn't it?

This is a beautiful story sent to me by my dear friend Muriel that I would like to share with you. Enjoy!

Two Horses;

There is a field, with two horses in it.
From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him .
This alone is amazing.If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse's halter is a small bell.. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two horses, you'll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse, and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to where the other horse is, trusting that he will not be led astray. When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.
Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way....Good f riends are like that... you may not always see them, but you know they are always there. Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.And kinder than necessary-everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.Live simply,Love generously,Care deeply, Speak kindly....Leave the rest to God...

Happy Summer days my sweet blog friends, xoxo, Jo-Anne

What does an enchanting cottage, exquisite antique lace and a taste for special things have in common? If you've ever traveled to Sandwich Massachusetts scenic Route 6A, the slow road to Cape Cod, you know of Jean Gresham's, the owner of " Horse Feathers Antiques.

Jean's home and shop is filled to the brim with antique, vintage and new linens and lace used in ways from classic to creative. You step into Jean's shop and discover a world of feminine and romantic heirlooms that only seemed possible in fairytales. One is always sure to leave with a peaceful feeling and a special treasure, or two. Jean's magical nest is cleverly designed with function, beauty and of course, plenty of chic linens, lace and trimmings to delight the romantic at heart.

A quiet reading nook in Jeans Home.

A peek into Jeans angelic living space...I think this is what heaven must look like...
