It's been way too long since my last post and I want to thank you all for your lovely comments and sentiments :)

Well, I'm happy to say my garden is happy and buzzing with butterflies, bees, AND, I couldn't believe my eyes, A Humming bird... At a glance I thought it was a huge butterfly, and low and behold there it was hovering over the cat mint...( One of those moments you wish you had a camera)...

Theres so many surprises in my garden this year, along with little critters eating away at my prize roses...I tried a mixture of soapy water but it didnt seem to phase them...
Hubby gave them a shot of 7 and it seems to have curbed their appetites..

Light and dark pink knock-out roses...These are fabulous as they are low maintenance with little or no dead heading...

After a summer rain: This is my all time favorite rose, Eden climber.. It has a lovely scent and is a great cutting rose...

A work in progress; I cant wait to see how this looks by August...Mark planted two spiral Arborvitaes along an antique settee trellis, with 2 Eden climbers on either side with pink and purple perennials...We added a tin frame with my roses art in the center for decoration...

I love this idea...Take an antique plate and hot glue an old fork to the back and stake it in the ground near your roses...Welcome to my rose garden is the lovely sentiment...

A lushious Purple Clementis vine...

This will be my last post for a while as Im going to Nova Scotia to visit my parents...I haven't seen them in over 7 months so I'm very excited to visit...Watch for lots of photos when I return...

A photo from last years trip over looking beautiful Kellys Mountain on Cape Breton Island...

Love to you my sweet blog friends :)

Hi Jo-Anne!!! I just love your garden. Your roses are so beautiful and LUSH looking. The heat down here in Florida just overwhelms my roses. I can't get them to grow like yours. I loved your darling idea for the china plate and fork. With all the china plates I have around my studio and I sure I can come up with something like this too! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful trip! ~ hugs ~ Joy

Hi Jo Jo ~

What a lovely post of all your beautiful roses and vignettes! I love that idea of the plate too, but I would have to use something stronger than hot melt for the Utah heat. If I have any home decor piece with hot melt, it just, well...melts and fall apart! I've had things fall off my front door before. A total pain! Have a lovely, lovely time back in Canada with your folks! I go back to Canada again in September to see Mom and will be bringing her back with me! Yeah! Write me soon!

Love,

Stacy (*_*)

Hi Rose. So many times I have returned to this blog. You are an inspiration to me, I'm changing over my home in this style. Because I live in the Netherlands (Europe) I wondered were I could purchase "Romantic Country" and "Romantich Homes". Hope you can help me with this. I'll be visiting your blog real soon again! And your roses in the garden are beautiful!

Everytime I come on this website, I ache to find others like you all that love JoAnne's wonderful style, love for gardening, teatime, roses, etc. I have all of that here in New Jersey, but really only share it with my family and friends, no "soul sisters" with the love of Romantic Homes. That is why I love to visit this website and blog. Thanks, JoAnne, you are an inspiration to those of us who have the same loves you do !!
